Transforming the people of the triangle and beyond...

Sue Sennert

Sue Sennert
Administrative Assistant

Joined Salem Staff:  August 2005

Areas of Ministry:   As the church secretary and receptionist…a little bit of everything, and the voice on the other end of the phone when you call our office

Family:  I have been happily married to Nick since April of 1978.  We have four children, one granddaughter, and a grandson.  Sarah, our oldest, is married to Mike; Mark lives on his own but is local and visits frequently; Erin is a recent graduate of The College at Southeastern; and Noah is a student at NC State. We see the end of college tuitions on the horizon now!

Saved:  I grew up in a religious home with wonderful parents but did not hear about having a personal relationship with Jesus Christ until 1987. I spent several years prior to that trying to discover if I was “good enough” to get into heaven, but it wasn’t until a neighbor explained to me that I could never get there on my own and that Jesus had died for my sins that I my search ended.  After reading the Gospel of John alone at my kitchen table, I accepted Christ at the age of 31, and the weight of earning my passage to heaven was lifted at once!

Education:  SUNY Farmingdale—Secretarial Science (Even with all the changes in technology, this was still very handy to have, returning to work after 25+ years at home!)

Previous lines of work: I have mainly been a full-time homemaker, but over the years I’ve done some waitressing; was an at-home textbook proofreader; an artist; and even did six Tupperware parties in a very brief career in sales.
