Preschool Parent Association (PPA)
"Serve wholeheartedly, as if you are serving the Lord, not men." Ephesians 6:7.
The PPA's mission is to serve our Lord by serving each other. Its two major objectives are teacher appreciation and fundraising. Both committees have been formed under the PPA umbrella.
Teacher Appreciation Committee exists to show our preschool staff that we love and value the jobs they do. Events include:
• Cornucopia of Thanks
• Brunch Bags
• Valentine’s Notes
• Garden/Flower Daze
The Fundraising Committee is in place to help finance our scholarship fund, provide some funding for teacher appreciation events and support funding for additional resources that directly affect our school and children. Events include:
• Welcome Back Pizza Lunch
• Scholastic Book Fair
• Vendor Fair & Bake Sale
• Food Drive
• Fruit Fundraiser
• Little Caesars/Butter Braid Fundraiser
• End of Year Pizza Lunch
Class Representatives: Each class needs two class representatives who coordinate/divide responsibilities among themselves. Such responsibilities include:
• Attending monthly PPA meetings
• Communicate upcoming events to the class parents.
• Enlist volunteers to help with PPA events.
• Serve as a point of contact to ensure teachers are recognized at special times.
• Be the contact for family births, crisis, etc. and communicate with other parents regarding these events.
PPA meetings are held once a month in the Fellowship Hall. Join us to meet some new friends while serving our children's teachers and staff!
