Seagroves Scholarship

Spring 2020 College Scholarship Applications Open

The Salem Scholarship Committee is currently accepting applications for the Seagroves Scholarship Fund for the spring 2020 college semester. The scholarship is open to active church members of any age who are pursuing a major or minor higher education degree in Christian ministry (you do not have to attend a Christian school), and who have established their intention to be involved in Christian ministry. You may download the form (PDF), fill it out electronically, and email it to the application committee through the church office, or print, fill out, and return it to the church office. Applications must be submitted electronically to the church office by 5:00 pm on Sunday, November 24, 2019, and paper applications are due by 1:00 pm on Friday, November 22.  Late applications will not be accepted.

The Seagroves Scholarship is named for John and Pearl Seagroves of Apex, whose daughter Lelia Seagroves Womble (1912 – 2002) gifted Salem Baptist with funds to be awarded for post-secondary education students in her parents' names. Salem accepts applications for this scholarship each spring and fall semester.
